Drinking and partying to deflect is just that, a deflection. You’re going to have to be the one to make the difficult decision and stick to the game plan. Your fear is that you will be disconnected from who you are, but you are evolving so it’s more of an evolution of you and not a disconnection. The possible outcome is you being able to take care of your loved ones on a major level and that is what you wanted all along.
