To Whom it Resonates: If you want another chance, you have to take the time to understand where you went wrong and acknowledge that. Using the same unsuccessful approach to an ongoing issue will not change anything. Where did you go wrong? What are you not taking accountability for? Answer those two questions, honestly, and that’s when the healing will begin. Only then, will you be redeemed for your mistakes. The problem is not that you made a mistake, the problem is that you made a mistake and are not owning up to it. No one is expecting you to be perfect, but somehow you have taken on this persona that sets impossible expectations for yourself. Don’t make this complicated for no reason. You are getting in your own way by making excuses for why you messed up and although your reasoning may be justified, it doesn’t change the fact that your actions were hurtful & poorly thought out. You will release this burden by simply opening your mind to a greater understanding. The solution will require you to take action on apologizing to whom you’ve hurt. You may want to consider going out of your way to do this to show empathy and understanding. You then need to apologize with changed behavior. If you choose to do nothing, you may cheat yourself out of a good thing.
